Dogs and pets in
general are a large part of my culture. This piece is meant as a
way to explore and reveal dogs place in our world, starting with one's
personal stories.
The initial piece contains only my stories. The next step being
finishing the database to enable everyone to add their own ideas, stories
and images.

Rudy's eulogy
Friends;
It is with great sadness that the sweetest dog, Rudy, has passed
from this world today after a bout with cancer. He was only 7 years
old. I wish I had
more time. I guess I will always feel I want more time, even if he
lived to be twice his age. Dogs and certainly Rudy, remind me that
we only have
now and to be in this moment is what living is about. I miss him.
Really our dogs are our friends to me. It is like that. I have had
lots of dogs, pets and people die, it never is any easier and we
al know we are going
to end up the same. To me it is the cost of living and loving. If you
can't feel the pleasure of dog love, you won't feel the sadness when
it's gone. I
think I would rather cry a river of tears than to miss one happy dog
moment. I thought after Buddy passed would we ever find such a sweet
dog, then Rudy
came into our lives as the sweetest dog. I hope we can find another
when the time comes.
So friends, give someone / some dog / some cat a scratch, hug and
a smile, and remember the sweetest dog Rudy. |
