Online Collaborative Art: Ideas and Possibilities for Education

A brief introduction to online collaborate art with an examination of possible applications for classroom and community uses. The presentation will introduce the concept of collaborative art and it’s traditional expressions online. It will then focus on collaborative art using the Internet as the medium of artist expression.
Several examples of the presenter’s artwork will be shown with explanations about the processes and technologies needed to engage the work. The final part will highlight the toolkits and training resources developed for the educator’s use in customizing these artworks for their classrooms. Discussion of the concepts, artwork and applications will end the presentation.
